This checklist is based on
information in Welsh et al. (1987). We are placing it and other Utah county
checklists on the Web to encourage others to document additions to Utah's flora. It
includes both cultivated and established species. Our plan is to update these checklists, to reflect additions from other published sources, including Albee et al. (), Welsh et al. (1993), Allen and Curto (), and specimens in the Intermountain Herbarium. Eventually we shall indicate the status of each species in the flora (whether indigenous, indigenous and cultivated, introduced and established, or known only from cultivation) and link each record to a specimen but, because the work is unfunded, progress will be slow. Initially the taxonomic treatment will be that in Welsh et al. (1987), but will be eventually be modified to reflect that adopted in the Intermountain Herbarium. If there are major differences, these will be noted immediately following the family name. The families are listed alphabetically within each major grouping. The complete listing is available as a single file here. The links below connect to subsets of the complete file. They will take less time to download. If you wish to add to these lists, please contact Mary Barkworth at stipoid@cc.usu.edu.
