The Organizing Committee is pleased to inform you that the Fourth International Triticeae symposium will take place in Córdoba, Spain on September 10-12, 2001. You are hereby invited to take part in the symposium. To be included in the preliminary list of participants, you are requested to fill out and send us the Registration Form. Córdoba, situated in Andalucía, Southern Spain, was the capital of the Betica province under the Roman Empire and capital of the Omeya Caliphate. Remains of those old times such as the Mosque and the Jew' Quarter have been declared Humankind Heritage Sites and attract the attention of thousands of visitors every year.

V. Quality and Utilization

The working language for abstracts, poster and oral presentations will be English

Researchers wishing to offer an oral or poster presentation should submit their abstract by January 15th, 2001. The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to select presentations based on the scope and goals of the Symposium, and to determine whether a presentation should be offered orally or as a poster.

Please submit abstract with title, authors and affiliation by Email. WORD editor is preferred.

Proceedings will be published after the Symposium. Rules for their preparation will be included in the 2nd circular. A copy of the Proceedings will be sent, free of charge, to all those who have paid the registration fee prior to the end of the Symposium.

Registration form to be received at the Secretary Office no later than January 15th, 2001.

The 2nd circular, covering details of preparing posters and full presentation, will be sent no later than May, 2001.

The registration fee will be 250 EUROs prior to July 1, 300 EUROs afterwards. It covers the publication of abstracts and proceedings, welcome reception, lunches and coffee during the sessions.

Participants may travel to Córdoba by train or bus from Madrid, Málaga, or Seville.
