Bio 2410 Collection

Your major project for this class is to make an accurately identified, well-labeled collection of 30 plants. Among the 30 plants, there must be at least:

3 fungi
3 bryophytes
3 dicots
2 monocots

You are strongly encouraged to use the herbarium facilities in identifying your plants.

More detailed instructions on making a plant collection, click here. The instructions were prepared for a class that was required to make a collection of 50 plants. You are only required to make a collection of 30 plants. We shall grade up to 35 specimens per person. You may NOT redo a specimen or label for a higher grade.

The collection must be handed in by Friday, June 5 at 5 p.m. We shall provide you with folders for doing so. Your presses must also be handed in at that time. Failure to return a plant press results in a grade of I/F.
