This list is based on identifications by students in a summer class at Utah
State University. Barkworth has verified the identification of the vascular
plants and Piep verified the fungal identifications. Identifications of bryophytes
should be regarded as tentative. The students and Barkworth have done their
best, but we are not bryologists. Specimens are deposited in the Intermountain
Herbarium.
Card Canyon is at 41º 45-46'N, 111º 35-39'W or, in road map language,
approximately 10 miles up Logan Canyon. The turn off is on the southeast side
of the road, directly across from the Forst Service Ranger Station. The plants
in the following list were collected on the two miles of the canyon.
The Card Canyon road is a dirt road, wide enough for cars and with a very gentle
slope.
